  Professor Xuewen (Patrick) Chen, founder of the Dian Shi Arts Center, graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China in 1984. He stayed and taught there as a professor until 2000, when him and his family immigrated to Canada. Having taught in a university for more than 20 years, Professor Chen possesses rich teaching experience and unique artistic style and design talent. Many of his paintings have been exhibited and awarded around the world, collected by many collectors from China, Japan, Singapore, Canada, U.S., Russia, France, etc.

 

  He has been named “The Number One Brush” in China due to his talents and accomplishments in the field of airbrushing. China’s national news and media station – Chinese Central Television and Chinese Movie Production Agency has created special TV series about Professor Chen on his accomplishments in airbrushing. He attended the Canadian Fall Home Show in Toronto and won “The Best Small Booth Award”.

 

  Professor Chen has written and published seven books. Many of them are taken as textbooks, used in many Chinese universities as art course readings.
